SG GSC - A Strategic Centre for the Group
Set up as a strategic arm of the Bank in 2000, at Bangalore, Societe Generale Global Solution Centre serves as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for the Group. SG GSC was started by Societe Generale as its second entity in India after the Investment Bank. Over the past 12 years, SG GSC has evolved to become the 'Global Knowledge Centre' for the Group with a reputation for providing innovative solutions that combine in-depth business knowledge with exceptional technology skills.
SG GSC embodies Professionalism, Team Spirit and Innovation that are the core values of the Group. Today, Societe Generale Group entities work closely with SG GSC for solutions in Information Technology, Business Process Outsourcing and Infrastructure Management Services. SG GSC has gained stature within the Group for offering total solutions with an emphasis on excellence.
The centre today has over 2300 employees and has plans to grow further in the coming years. The entity in India conforms to the Group diversity principles and has staff speaking around 20 native languages and represents five nationalities.
SG GSC works for multiple business lines including Retail Banking, Specialised Financing & Insurance, Private Banking, Global Investment Management & Services and Corporate & Investment Banking.
The centre has also contributed for IT operations of Societe Generale business lines' setup in the Indian market.
